Trezor Expands ShipMonk Breach Disclosure to Over 80,000 Customers
Trezor reported on X an additional 67,000 US customers exposed in the ShipMonk incident, bringing the total above 80,000 with records dating back to 2019.
Trezor stated on X that an additional 67,000 US customers who ordered between November 2019 and August 2021 had personal data exposed at its shipping partner ShipMonk. The new tranche brings the total known affected users above 80,000.
In the earlier disclosed portion, 12,742 customers had full name, email, phone number, and address exposed while 1,947 had limited data exposed. Trezor confirmed its own systems were not breached and that private keys and wallet backups remain secure.
Affected customers have been notified by email. Trezor warned of heightened risks of phishing and physical targeting. The exact breakdown of data fields exposed in the new 67,000-customer cohort is not stated, and no timeline for further updates or remediation steps from ShipMonk has been provided.
