The Austin hard fork for the Bor client resolved two block-processing denial-of-service flaws that could crash peer nodes with abnormally large data fields.
The Kyoto hard fork for the Heimdall client addressed validator and consensus issues, including a low-cost transaction that could impose high computational workload on validators.
Operational impact
Both forks were tested on the Amoy testnet and activated on mainnet before disclosure; no evidence of exploitation has been found.
Node operators must run the updated software, though no state migration or full resync is required.
