Hyperliquid adds optional testnet allowlists for HIP-3 market operators

Hyperliquid API Announcements stated on Sept. 3 that the exchange is adding optional wallet allowlists to HIP-3 perpetual markets on testnet.

The feature lets a market deployer decide which wallets may trade on its venue while leaving all other markets unchanged.

Scope of the controls

A HIP-3* deployer can add or remove allowlist approvals, cancel orders, place reduce-only orders, and move collateral, all limited to that single venue.

The controls are optional and additive; they do not impose protocol-wide rules or affect existing markets.

Status and limits

No mainnet date has been announced and the specification remains preliminary.

The change carries no regulatory approval or know-your-customer mandate.
