BitGo Singapore Prime Desk Overtakes US and Europe After MPI Licence
BitGo reports Singapore as its largest Prime trading desk following the August 2024 MPI licence and September 2 office opening, with headcount and client growth metrics.
BitGo opened a Singapore office on September 2. The Monetary Authority of Singapore granted the local subsidiary a Major Payment Institution licence in August 2024.
Singapore now hosts the largest BitGo Prime trading desk, ahead of desks in the United States and Europe, according to the company's statement.
Singapore headcount has more than doubled since the licence grant. The Asia-Pacific client base has tripled and includes governments, regulated financial institutions, payment service providers, fintechs, and accredited investors.
BitGo Prime trading volumes in Singapore more than doubled in the first half of 2026 compared with the same period a year earlier.
"Institutions across the region are trusting us with more of their business, more often," said Angela Ang, BitGo managing director for APAC and president of BitGo Singapore.
Absolute desk volumes and revenue contribution remain undisclosed. The company's stated target of returning to breakeven in the third quarter is still forward-looking.
