Binance announced on Sept. 1 that eligible non-US users can trade physically settled options on over 1,000 US stocks and ETFs inside existing accounts. Nest Trading Limited routes orders while Alpaca Securities LLC executes, clears, settles and custodies any delivered shares.
Contracts require explicit exercise instruction. In-the-money positions without instruction face best-efforts auto-liquidation. Maximum loss for buyers is limited to the premium paid; the announcement does not extend that limit to option-writing strategies.
Context and unknowns
Equity-linked perpetuals generated $342.9 billion in volume in August, representing 79 percent of Binance TradFi perpetual activity. No volume projections or demand estimates for the new options contracts have been disclosed. User eligibility, jurisdictional restrictions and account approval requirements remain in place.
