Wyoming Adopts Chainlink Proof of Reserve for FRNT Stable Token
Wyoming Stable Token Commission adds Chainlink Proof of Reserve and planned Secure Mint controls for FRNT on top of existing AICPA examinations.
The Wyoming Stable Token Commission adopted Chainlink Proof of Reserve on September 2, 2026, for onchain reserve verification of FRNT, the first stable token issued by a U.S. state and backed by USD and short-term Treasuries.
The Network Firm will continue independent AICPA examinations of reserve and token-supply balances. Chainlink will publish verified reserve data onchain in near real time.
Executive director Anthony Apollo stated the adoption provides transparent, verifiable confirmation that FRNT is fully backed by high-quality reserve assets.
The Commission also plans to implement Chainlink Secure Mint, which would require verified reserves to meet or exceed supply before any new FRNT issuance.
Remaining unknowns
Secure Mint implementation timeline, commercial terms of the Chainlink agreements, and market adoption of FRNT as a payments rail remain undisclosed or untested.
