FBI Seizes Hamas Crypto Fundraising Servers and Directs Tether Binance Transfers
Court warrants in 2025 recovered over $560,000 in crypto tied to Hamas; June order required Tether and Binance to reroute assets to FBI wallets after domain seizures.

The FBI converted earlier tracing of Hamas-linked crypto addresses into active interception by seizing domains and servers tied to AlQassam.ps and host.alaqsaflood.org.
Three warrants issued in March, June, and October 2025 recovered more than $560,000 in digital assets from rotating donation addresses distributed through encrypted chats and fundraising sites.
The June warrant required Tether to burn targeted USDT and reissue an equivalent amount to an FBI-controlled address, while Binance was ordered to transfer specified balances into law-enforcement wallets.
What remains unknown
Special Agent Justin A. Garris of the FBI Albuquerque Field Office stated the operation aimed to reduce the group's ability to receive donations and to create distrust among donors.
Control of the seized infrastructure allowed agents to obtain additional information on people contacting [email protected], though the total value of donations intercepted after the seizures and the number of completed transactions remain undisclosed.
