Bitcoin Wallet in Noah Doe Lawsuit Moves After 15 Years
Galaxy Research reports transfer of 40 BTC from a 2011-dormant address named in New York Supreme Court case Index No. 153119/2026, challenging the lost-property claim.
Galaxy Research identified the transfer of 40 BTC from a wallet first funded on November 5, 2011, in block 965330 on September 3. The address carries the label Noah Doe #38097 and forms part of the 39,069 addresses listed in New York County Supreme Court case Index No. 153119/2026.
Plaintiffs seek title to the coins under Article 7-B lost-property law on the basis that the wallets were abandoned. The recent movement demonstrates that the private keys remain under active control and therefore undercuts the abandonment premise.
The same plaintiffs have already removed 44 addresses from the suit after those wallets became active following the filing. Proceedings in the case remain paused, with no coins awarded and no final ruling issued on the abandonment theory.
Attribution of the address rests on Galaxy Research tagging; ultimate ownership has not been established in court.
