Coinbase Files SEC Notice-Registration for Equity Perpetual Futures

Coinbase Chief Policy Officer Faryar Shirzad disclosed on September 3, 2026 that the firm submitted notice-registration documents to the SEC for equity-linked perpetual futures.

The contracts have no expiry date and would extend the single-stock perpetuals Coinbase already offers internationally on Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, and Amazon.

CFTC approval is required before any U.S. customer launch; no timeline was provided.
