Standard Chartered Launches UAE Bitcoin Ether Spot Trading for Institutions
Standard Chartered places deliverable BTC and ETH spot execution inside its DIFC-regulated UAE institutional banking stack with custodian choice preserved.
Standard Chartered launched deliverable spot trading in Bitcoin and Ether for eligible institutional clients in the United Arab Emirates. The service operates through the bank’s Dubai International Financial Centre subsidiary and connects to existing foreign-exchange electronic channels.
Clients can settle trades through a custodian of their choice, including Standard Chartered’s own platform. The offering follows the bank’s introduction of digital-asset custody in the UAE in September 2024 and its launch of institutional spot trading in the UK in July 2025.
