Mirae Asset Sets $109 Billion Digital Asset Goal After Korbit Acquisition
Chairman Park Hyeon-joo announced the 150 trillion won target at a Seoul staff event, linking it to the Digital X exchange and existing client assets.

Chairman Park Hyeon-joo set a 150 trillion won ($109 billion) target for the group's digital asset business at a staff event in Seoul on 27 August 2026.
The figure equals roughly 10 percent of the 1,500 trillion won in client assets already held by Mirae Asset Financial Group.
Digital X, the exchange formerly known as Korbit, will handle trading, stablecoins, tokenized assets and security token offerings. Mirae Asset Consulting acquired a 97.15 percent stake in July 2026.
Capital and Profit Timeline
The group is considering up to 300 billion won ($218 million) in third-party capital through a share allotment in the first quarter of 2027, subject to improved earnings. Management has set a target of profitability for the unit in 2027.
