Circle Internet, issuer of the USDC stablecoin, has become the principal partner and front-of-shirt sponsor for Chelsea Football Club across its men’s, women’s and academy teams.
The agreement places Circle and USDC branding on the kits and marks the first time a crypto financial services firm has taken the principal shirt slot in the Premier League.
Chelsea will debut the sponsored kit this Sunday against Brighton and Hove Albion at Stamford Bridge.
Circle holds a UK Financial Conduct Authority electronic money license.
