Chainalysis Files July 27 Protest Against ICE Sole-Source Award to TRM Labs

Chainalysis Government Solutions filed a bid protest on July 27 in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's sole-source award of contract 70CMSD26C00000005 to TRM Labs. The contract is valued at $94,655,840 and covers blockchain-forensics software and support services for Homeland Security Task Force investigations.

The agreement runs from July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027. Chainalysis alleges that ICE evaluated vendors using criteria from a May 28 request for information, including automated disruption capabilities and stablecoin issuer partnerships, that were omitted from the final Statement of Need.

Status

The protest seeks to block performance and require full competition. Oral argument is scheduled for September 2, 2026. The court has not ruled, and any impact on contract performance remains pending.
