BitMEX Co-Founder Delo Tops Reform UK Political Donations
UK Electoral Commission data shows Ben Delo contributed £8 million to Reform UK in 2026 after receiving a presidential pardon for a prior Bank Secrecy Act conviction.
Ben Delo, co-founder of the crypto derivatives exchange BitMEX, donated £4 million to Reform UK in the April-June 2026 quarter. The sum represented 75 percent of the party's £5.33 million in private donations for the period, according to data released by the UK Electoral Commission on September 3.
Delo made two earlier £2 million contributions on 14 January and 2 March 2026, bringing his disclosed total to £8 million. Another crypto investor, Christopher Harborne, gave £3 million in January. In March 2025, President Trump issued a full pardon for Delo's 2022 conviction under the Bank Secrecy Act related to BitMEX's anti-money laundering program.
