MIAX Restores IBIT Monday/Wednesday Short-Term Expiries Under Tier 2

MIAX restored Monday and Wednesday short-term expiries for BlackRock IBIT options after the exchange group dropped the ETF from its Q3 roster. A MIAX listing alert named Aug 19, 24, 26 and 31 expiries under the new Tier 2 framework that sets qualifying gates at $25 billion AUM and 5 million monthly options sides.

Tier framework and filing details

MIAX Pearl filed the change on Aug 13; the SEC waived the 30-day delay and made the rule operative on filing with a Sept 17 comment deadline. Tier 2 is limited to Monday/Wednesday expiries while Tier 1 retains the higher $50 billion and 10 million sides gates plus Tuesday/Thursday. IBIT position limit already stands at 1 million contracts since May 2026.
