Harmony announced it will sunset its 2019 mainnet and migrate the ONE token to Ethereum through a 1:1 airdrop after a final-block snapshot. The protocol cited threats from state actors and AI agents as the reason for the shutdown.
Validators must cease node operations by September 10. A $1.37 million pool will compensate those who transition into governors for a proposed AI video remix economy. The snapshot will cover wallets, staking delegations, and exchange holdings, with no action required from holders.
